Congratulations you found us. I’m going to talk to you about Fat Loss for Men. Let me start with this quick little story.

In the late 1980’s I drew the short straw and had to go listen to a salesman do some sales pitch about a product is company wanted to sell to my military unit.

I was part of a US Navy diving unit that specialized in underwater bombs and demolition. This would happen every few months and all of us guys hated it.

Somebody was always trying to sell us something. I was to meet this salesman at a small theater on base. I arrived early, sat on the 2nd row from the stage. I threw my feet over the back of the chairs in front of me, pulled my hat down on my nose to catch a few minutes of shut-eye.

I wasn’t really asleep - we called it a combat nap. Suddenly I heard the racking of a .45 Caliber Colt Handgun! I jerked my hat up and tried to lift my feet up and over the chairs I had them hanging over – but my feet had gone numb.

A man standing on the stage, turned the colt towards his chest and fired at point blank range. He fell backwards and the colt bounced on the wooden floor. I started to move towards the weapon (that’s the only thing in the room capable of killing me).

For the life of me I could not connect the dots as to what was going on and why this guy just shot himself. I partly thought I was in a nightmare where nothing makes sense.

Except for the ringing in my ears, the smell of gun powder, the pounding in my chest and the numbness in my legs that kept insisting it was really happening.

Then, he moved, then stood up. This was getting more bizarre by the second. He picked up and holstered the colt and walked over to the edge of the stage where I was crouched down.

He reached his right hand out like he wanted to shake mine. I hesitantly reached up and grasped his hand (still feeling a bit uncertain about shaking the hand of a man who should be dead).

He introduced himself, “Hi, my name is Greg, and I’d like to talk to you about bullet proof vests.”

What he sold me did save my butt and a lot of my team. By the end of this page, I hope you learn the same two things about me. My intention here is to help you.

Boom 9mm point blank range shot right in the forehead. That’s what my wife said to me in that tiny dressing room of this Lucky Brand jeans store in Salt Lake City.

Before, I would just exercise my way back. Now, I couldn’t get the same results that I used to get. And, speaking honestly I wouldn’t stay on my program for more than a week or two. Diet or Exercise.

I would say I was going to eat better - then wouldn’t. I wondered if this was just a part of aging. You ever wonder that?

Regardless, I was on a bullet train traveling at 300 mph heading straight down a very slippery slope. In less than a year I had gone from a size 31” waist to a 36! That’s 5 inches!

I didn’t need to be good in math to know the answer to. What would year 2 yield? 41 inches waist What would year 3 yield? 46 inches waist In the short few minutes my wife was looking for larger pants I realized I had become uh... Don’t say it.. don’t say it.. A Mama’s Boy.

There’s nothing worse in the military special forces than being labeled A Mama’s Boy! Let me say that correctly as the Guys said it in the military:

I’m not talking as much about my fat as I am my mental frame of mind for me being fat is proof of mental weakness, mental procrastination, mental lack of confront.

It’s the weakness in the mind that would allow gluttony to go on and on and get worst and worst. I hadn’t always been fat!

FROM ELITE TO

Back in the 1970’s I was in High School Sports, 80’s (as mentioned) I was part of an elite underwater bomb unit in the US Navy.

In 90’s I was building multiple businesses while also running marathons and triathlons. I then stepped on the proverbial banana peel and slid towards a very slippery slope.

Each month that Venomous Cycle added 1 to 3 pounds of fat around my belly and sides. I remember feeling like, it wasn’t that I couldn’t lose weight it was that for some reason, I couldn’t beat this venomous cycle!

The Venomous Cycle hijacked my Self Discipline. Self discipline is simply: doing what I say I’ll do.

First my self-discipline broke down then I got fat, then I withdrew a little I was less outgoing essentially I was trying to hide my fat. You know I didn’t tuck my shirt in, I wore vertical stripe-shirts to make me appear thinner I wore darker clothes.

I didn’t want to go to the beach, I was withdrawing because I was trying to hide what I look like. Have you ever felt like this?

Feeling as though I couldn’t control my weight, I started focusing on other things I thought I could control WORK! That gave me the grand excuse of “I’ve gained weight because I’ve been so busy”. I didn’t gain fat because I was busy. I have to eat something to gain weight.

The veil had come off. No matter how nice my wife was about it, deep down I knew she saw me being a weak man.

I decided right then I was not going to station 36 – on route to Fatville, USA. Meaning, I refused to go up to pants size 36!

When my wife knocked on the door with the size 36 jeans in her hand. I opened the door fully dressed ready to leave. She was looking into the determined eyes of her new husband.

Even though I was determined at that time I had no clue how. From wherever you are, you must make the same decision that I did. Your pants size or how much you have to lose doesn’t matter as much as the decision to not go up to a larger pants size.

That experience humbled me. It also caused me to realize that if it could happen to me, every man is vulnerable to the trap. That’s why, earlier I said I have more compassion for you and your condition than you could possibly imagine.

You and I are here on the same terms. Here’s what I did, I bought the ‘”Experts” stuff from cheap $40 products to expensive personal trainers, I spent thousands of Dollars. All of it seemed to be the same stuff just packaged differently.

Some of it “seemed to work” but nor for very long. Because of my business history I knew many healthcare specialists, doctors, chiropractors, homeopathic, naturopathic, personal trainers, elite athletes, I talked to them.

From them, I learned a couple of new things they were doing with their patients and clients. One specialist pointed me to a small study that fascinated me.

I dug really deep into this, because there was an observation by the researcher that gave me a piece to the puzzle that was as scary as it was exciting.

It was a piece of information that if it was true, then a lot of other things had to be untrue.

I TRIED IT, I LOST 6 POUNDS
IN A WEEK - NO EXERCISE!

Even though I did nothing the entire weight loss industry said to do. With all my study and all the programs I tried I got this suspicious thought the truth about how to lose weight had either been withheld or yet discovered.

I need to catch you up to why this thought came to mind...

First off, 70% of Americans are overweight and a third of those obese if anyone truly had weight loss figured out we wouldn’t have so many men struggling with losing fat.

Even the healthcare professionals and personal trainers I spoke with blamed their client or patient to be “non-compliant” as the reason their program didn’t work for everyone.

And some of the health care professional teaching fat loss were themselves fat. The truth was staring me in the face the whole time.

Nobody had weight loss figured out!

Something was definitely withheld or yet discovered.

39 MILLION PAGES OF WEIGHT LOSS ADVICE, YET 70% OF THE POPULATION IS OVERWEIGHT?

I read “free” content on websites, I bought e-books and products sold off websites, magazines, books, and special programs from the so-called “Gurus” of Fitness. What did I learn?

Here, for free I’ll give you what I “learned”. All programs teach the same stuff.

Here it is: 1. Exercise 3-5 days a week, split between weight training and cardio. 2. Calories: burn more than you consume, ideally 800-500 calories less than what you burn each day, that way you lose I to 2 pounds per week safely.

Now that I know the truth? This is one of the biggest lies I’ve ever seen or heard, hang on I’ll explain that. The next thing all the books and the websites do is crank up or down on the percentages of protein, carbs and fats in the ranges you see here...

> Protein: 20 - 30%
> Carbs: 30 - 60%
> Fats: 10 - 20%

As if the end user (you and I) ever do that or keep doing that.

When was the last time you slice a half inch off your steak so you ate 20% of your calories from protein instead of 25%, yeah me either.

After they program crank these percentages up or down, they spin their program as different typically by emphasizing that everyone is unique, implying that they know your uniqueness.

There you go that’s what I learned from a year of research and thousands of dollars. Same old stuff for the past 40 years, just marketed under different imagery, name and focus.

But the products I purchased, the deliverables, what you actually receive, were horrible!

Very difficult to follow.

$50 for a 200-page text pdf that was actually created in India. $137 for 3 videos of a guy doing exercises in his living room with a lamp on the floor.

All programs stated emphatically Calories and Exercise are the holy grail of weight loss.

Are they?

Let me explain it, then you can decide.

It is the belief of most people in the diet industry as a whole, that each person has a base calorie level that sits on a pivot point.

The base calorie is an estimation of the number of calories your metabolism burns in a day, the estimation is based on age, gender, height, and weight.

I plugged my numbers and it came out to be about 2000. Alright, so the theory is if I consume exactly 2000 calorie each day, I will not gain weight or lose weight.

I will stay the same, balanced on the pivot.

If I ate over 2000 base calories, then I gain weight. If I ate less than 2000 calories then I lose weight.

I can accomplish this another way.

If I eat 2000 calories and add exercise then I would burn more calories and thus lose weight, there you go, that’s the calories in calories out formula.

All the big guys say that’s the answer on the Center for Disease Control, Harvard Health Publication and National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.

All say, consume less calories or exercise more and you’ll lose weight.

I TOLD HIM TO STOP EXERCISING AND EAT A MENU PLAN I WAS GOING TO SEND HIM

He obviously thought I’ve lost my mind. Get ready, you’re about to witness the biggest lie in weight loss.

Starting of a base of 2000 calories, meaning if Kevin eats his base calories of 2000 he won’t lose weight or gain weight so if you wanna lose a pound a week without exercise, he would reduce his calories by 500 calories per day.

That means he would eat 1500 calories each day. And that would cause him to lose 1 pound of fat in a week. Losing 1 pound of fat in a week is considered safe weight loss, I’ll explain why in just a minute.

To lose 2 pounds in a week, Kevin would need to drop his calories down to a thousand calories per day that too is considered safe.

To lose 3 pounds in a week, Kevin would need to drop his calories down to only 500 calories per day and that is unsafe. The US government warns, it is unsafe lose more than 1 to 2 pounds per week because it is unsafe to eat less than a thousand calories in a day, there you go!

If you’ve heard the phrase “It’s unhealthy to lose more than 1 to 2 pounds per week” you’re looking at why that statement is made, most people who’ll say the phrase have no idea what the phrase is based on.

To correct the statement, it is safe to lose more than 1-2 pounds. It’s unsafe to drop calories below 1000 per day. Are you tracking with me?

YOU'RE ABOUT TO BE SHOCKED!

For Kevin to lose 3 pounds in a week he’d have to eat only 500 calories per day for a week for him to lose 4 pounds in a week, he’d have to eat nothing all week.

Form him to lose 5 pounds, Uh oh! How’s Kevin going to eat less than nothing? Well he’ll have to exercise to burn extra 500 calories each day for a week. I’m going to skip up to 10 pounds.

Kevin would have to eat nothing all week and run 2.6 hours at a 10 minute phase each day for a week. Let Kevin tell you what happened.

Isn’t it shocking and very revealing that he could lose 13 pounds in a week while eating over a thousand calories per day and not exercising? Another crazy thing he couldn’t lose that weight running 50 miles in a day.

Reducing calories and increasing exercise is NOT the holy gail of weight loss. Kevin lost 61 pounds in 3 and a half months 6 inches off his waist, 2 inches off his neck. He lost an average of 1.7 pounds per day! That is almost 12 pounds per month.

Calories In versus Calories Out is not the only way to lose weight. I have proven this utterly. I’ve also proven that exercise slows down fat loss with men who have excess fat to lose. Gentlemen, I did not perform miracles with my discoveries.

The human body is what performed the miracles. The body is not nearly as complicated as people make out to be. The truth is always simple. Before I show you our results and give you a way to get this. I need to make sure I’m never taken out of context.

I’m not anti-exercise, I think exercise is great for a lot of reasons other than weight loss. I think exercise is dangerous for a man who has over 10 -15 pounds to lose, for a lot of reasons.

That the body is storing excess fat is confirmation that the body is not well. And storage of excess body fat is an early indicator of disease. Which disease? Name one – diabetes, heart disease, cancer, hypothyroidism.

Since exercise is not required to lose weight, why risk harming your body more by speeding it up and stressing it? Tune the body internally first – then challenge it. I don’t want my fellow men hurt unnecessarily.

Now that I’ve shown that calorie and exercise are not the full answer let me show you what is.
